
MTC recognises that our members come in all shapes and sizes. For this reason there is a training option to suit everyone.
MTC's preferred training partner is Fluid Movements, run by Head Coach Sean Foster. Beginners to advanced and sprint distance to Ironman, our super coaches Sean and Ben provide a wide variety of ongoing training options for members.
MTC has 3 group training options available:
- Free
- Casual
- Program based.
Free Weekly MTC Sessions
A Saturday long ride or a bike/run combo session, suitable for all levels (road cycling skills assumed).
Sunday Pool (winter) or Open water swim (summer).
Casual / Ongoing
A training option for athletes looking for a casual approach to ongoing training. It offers the opportunity to train with the MTC community and seek professional coaching input where necessary. There are two options for casual training:
1) Casual Sessions
Members can attend any session on the club training schedule; click here for details.
Prices range from $5.00 to $10.00, depending on the session.
2) Casual Ongoing
You can choose an ongoing casual training option:
- Any 3 sessions a week.
- Any 5 sessions a week.
Great for a club member who wants to have a regular commitment to training, but the flexibility to choose any 3 or 5 sessions from the schedule per week to attend.
Program Based Training
A professionally coached training option for athletes looking for comprehensive training across one or more triathlon disciplines. Programs are tailored to ensure you reach your goals, what ever they may be.
The cost of training is dependant on the program style and is payable quarterly. As a guide, a standard program will cost $30-40 per week and it is the most cost effective option for those looking to make a training commitment.
